NOTE: CU Café Sci events have been suspended until we can find a new venue. To be informed of the resumption of talks, please subscribe to the email list. Thanks!

CU Café Sci events occur on the first Wednesday of the month at Verde Gallery Café at 17 East Taylor Street in downtown Champaign between Walnut and Neil across from the National City drive-through, next to Radio Maria and facing the outdoor seating area for Cowboy Monkey. (More on Curt Tucker’s vision for Verde Gallery).
You can park in the National City parking lot after 6 pm (entrance to parking lot is on Church Street across from the News Gazette building). Or you can take the Yellow or Brown bus lines right to the corner of Walnut & Taylor. Plan your route here.
The format is less like a public lecture and more like a discussion over dinner with some interesting and intelligent friends:
7:00 People arrive, buy themselves a drink or food, meet each other
7:30 A researcher presents a half hour introduction to the topic
8:00 Short break for refilling glasses & formulating questions
8:15 Questions & discussion (45 minutes)
9:00 End of formal session but continuation of informal discussions is encouraged
