If you are using a Windows XP computer and you are having problems playing the videos, you may need to install or upgrade QuickTime on your computer.

You can do this in three easy steps:

  1. Download and install the latest QuickTime software. Please follow the instructions at Apple’s QuickTime download page. If you do not want to be on Apple’s email list, you can leave the email address field blank and simply press the Free Download Now button.
  2. Open the QuickTime control panel (go to the Start menu, choose Control Panel, click the Other Control Panel Options link in the See Also section, and then select the QuickTime control panel). Select the Browser tab in the QuickTime Preferences window. Make sure that Play movies automatically is checked. Click the OK button to save these preferences.
  3. Reopen your browser and try playing the video again.

In certain circumstances, a firewall can prevent the video from being played. If the video does not play after following the above steps, please try the following:

  1. Open the QuickTime control panel (go to the Start menu, choose Control Panel, click the Other Control Panel Options link in the See Also section, and then select the QuickTime control panel). Select the Advanced tab in the QuickTime Preferences window. For the Transport Setup option, choose Custom and select HTTP as the Transport Protocol and 80 for the Port ID, and click OK. Click the OK button to save these preferences.
  2. Reopen your browser and try playing the video again.

If you still have trouble playing the video or you have advice on how to configure a browser to playback videos, please leave a comment on this page.
